About the TARI Project
Thank you for your interest in the TARI project. The TARI, or Technology Assisted Reading Intervention project, is the result of a large grant from the Louisiana Board of Regents. The PI’s, or Primary Investigators, of the grant are Dr. Cynthia B. Vavasseur and Dr. Frances Crochet.

The primary goals of the grant are:
- To increase reading achievement of identified students in grades K-3 in the areas of phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, reading comprehension and writing.
- To enhance the tutoring experience for Nicholls State University candidates and elementary students by providing high quality technology and interactive apps.
